Volunteer Firefighter Qualifications

Firefighting and Emergency work can be physically and mentally challenging. It is among the most strenuous and dangerous of professions, and at the same time one of the most rewarding, providing a sense of accomplishment. There is no experience necessary to apply. All training is provided. Some qualifications for a volunteer firefighter applicant include: Must be 18, posses a valid drivers license, possess a desire to serve the community, a desire to learn, dedication, some degree of strength and stamina, and have the ability to think, reason and make decisions.
