Mt. Zion was requested by Harristown Fire to assist with an oil tank fire on McKinley Rd just outside of Decatur. We responded with our crash rescue truck (Rescue 2) and upon arrival extinguished the fire. Once the fire was out Harristown cooled the tank until there was no longer a hazard. The fire was believed to have been started by lightning from one of the several storms that had blown through that day.
